Gear Media Studios was founded by Elizabeth and Richard Gearhart, a dynamic duo with deep roots in the world of media and broadcasting. For the past seven years, they’ve co-hosted Passage to Profit, a nationally syndicated radio show and podcast that airs in over 30 markets—including New York City—and is recorded at the iHeart Media studios in Manhattan. In addition to Passage to Profit, Elizabeth also produces and hosts other podcasts, as well as coaching podcasters from inception to launch and beyond.

During the pandemic, Elizabeth and Richard began recording from the second floor of the Gearhart Law building in Summit, New Jersey, using high-end microphones and broadcast-quality equipment. Inspired by the studios at iHeart Media and their own experience building a makeshift studio, they realized how many creators could benefit from a fully outfitted space—without having to invest in expensive gear, soundproofing, or production knowledge.

Out of that vision, Gear Media Studios was born: a welcoming, professional space for podcasters, creators, and entrepreneurs who want to create high-quality content with ease. Whether you’re a first-time podcaster or a seasoned creator, we offer the space, equipment, and even podcast coaching to help you sound—and look—your best.
